Alphonso Davies’ future has come under increased focus as we approach the final phase of the season.
The Canadian international is facing an uncertain future at Bayern Munich amid reports of fissures between the two parties. While Bayern are interested in renewing his contract, the player’s lucrative demands have made the job difficult for the Bavarians.
This has put Real Madrid on red alert, as the Spanish giants look to snap up the left-back on a cut-price deal in the coming summer.
Davies’ agent speaks out on contract negotiations
As Bayern look to negotiate a new contract with Davies, the player’s agent Nedal Huoseh has sent an indirect message to the Bavarian outfit.
“We are not under pressure. There is a normal relationship between the player and the club,” Huoseh said (h/t RM4Arab). “But I am far from conducting negotiations publicly. I do not know that. I do not want that either. We believe that we have made a very fair and correct offer.”
It appears the agent is referring to the ongoing contract talks between Bayern and Davies. He is certainly not happy with the way Bayern have publicised these negotiations.
Huoseh went on to urge Bayern to make a final decision on whether or not they will cater to Davies’ demands.
“That at some point in life, one has to say yes or no, that is the way it is. I cannot wait forever and say that the decision will eventually come from heaven. Decisions must come from all parties,” he added.
This comes shortly after Huoseh had hit out at Bayern over a contract ultimatum. His comments could serve as a massive boost for Real Madrid though, with everything suggesting that Davies may not continue at the Allianz Arena.
However, seeking an agreement with the Bavarians could prove to be tricky, especially with Los Blancos not willing to pay anything more than €20-25 million.
