When Jude Bellingham was at Borussia Dortmund, he was a standout player who nearly led the team to the Bundesliga championship in the previous season. After that, he earned his dream transfer to Real Madrid, which was a year that will go down in history.
His efforts during the course of the year led to his receiving the Kopa Trophy at the Ballon d’Or Gala, which was then followed by the Golden Boy Award for 2023. The twenty-year-old player has been in fantastic form ever since he joined the Merengues because of his outstanding play.
In a recent interview with Tuttosport, Bellingham discusses his Golden Boy triumph in addition to a number of other issues. The conversation was conducted quite recently.
The accolade was won by the England international by an unprecedented margin, shattering a variety of records that had been established before. After being questioned about it, he went on to express his gratitude to all of the people who voted for him, saying:
“Uh, yes, I did notice that. I am really ecstatic. A score that is very high. I couldn’t be happier, and I certainly want to express my gratitude to each and every jury that voted for me.
“I can say that I know quite well the roll of honor of this prestigious international trophy, which was born in the very year that I was born which was 2003,” the Real Madrid star stated when asked about the significance of the Golden Boy award for him.
In 2005, while he was playing for Manchester United, Wayne Rooney, who is one of my inspirations, won the award. In 2014, Raheem Sterling won it when he was playing for Liverpool. I am the third Englishman to win it.
As a result of Bellingham’s victory, the Catalans’ winning run came to an end. Pedri and Gavi of Barcelona had won the Golden Boy for the previous two years. When asked about it, the child responded as follows:
I was aware of and had the opportunity to personally observe the hostility that exists between the two groups of supporters in Madrid. To begin, they are quite pleased with the president. Not only that, but I am proud of myself beyond everything else. One of the most prestigious awards is the Golden Boy.
Prior to this year’s victory, Bellingham had placed in second place in the previous two editions of the competition. He conveyed his happiness by stating something along the lines of:
“Yes, and this was my final opportunity to participate since, according to the regulations, I will no longer be permitted to do so until the year 2024, when I will still be considered an adult. The fact that I was successful on my third try makes me happy. “I wanted it so badly, because it’s a trophy for life that you can only win once in your entire life.”
In addition, he said, “I completely agree with the sentiments expressed by Gavi of Barcelona regarding the significance of the Golden Boy award.” A significant prize having a significant history that has been around for more than twenty years, it is a significant award. The legitimacy and authority of the award are validated by the roll of honor.

When Bellingham was asked about the people to whom he would want to dedicate the Golden Boy award, he responded with a lengthy list, which included the below:
Everyone, please. To a large number of individuals. Thank you to my Real Madrid teammates and the whole Merengue staff, to coach Carlo Ancelotti, to the president, to my family, my mother Denise, my father Mark, my younger brother Jobe, and to my friends who have been so kind as to send me congratulations messages and who continue to do so.
“I would not have been able to succeed in winning the Golden Boy without the assistance of all of these individuals, without their assistance both on and off the field, without their unending encouragement, and without ever forgetting the fans who support me.”
In reference to his remarkable streak of goals scored while playing for Real Madrid, Bellingham said, “I put in my own effort, a fierce commitment to improve myself with work, but the credit goes to coach Ancelotti who found the right position for me and gives me more freedom on the pitch.” Right now, I’m in the air.”
The manager Carlo Ancelotti has been quite complimentary of Bellingham, even going so far as to compare him to Real Madrid icons like as Zinedine Zidane and Kaka.
However, the player revealed that the manager is dissatisfied with him in reference to one particular area, using the following statement: “It’s only that I still don’t speak Spanish… Please accept my apologies, but I’m having trouble with this language due to unanticipated challenges. I am aware that it is making things difficult for me. In any event, I assure that I will provide my utmost dedication every time.
He continued by saying, “I am a person who is ambitious and who enjoys competing.” He was looking forward to the future after saying this. Consequently, now that I am in possession of the famous Golden Boy, I want to go ahead as swiftly as possible: I have high hopes that this “award” will serve as a springboard for me to win a great deal more silverware.
In addition, Bellingham sent his best wishes to Jamal Musiala of Bayern Munich, who came in second place in the Golden Boy event. He said:
Regarding my buddy Jamal Musiala from Bayern, who finished in second place and with whom I shared the locker room of the English young national team for around three years, I would like to extend my warmest wishes.
Finally, when Bellingham was asked to nominate three potential winners of the Golden Boy award in the future, he responded accordingly:
“First and foremost, Arda Guler, who has now fully recovered from the injuries that stopped him from making his debut with Real Madrid: he is a marvel, and we are charmed by him when we see him in training. My former teammate Jamie Bynoe-Gittens from Borussia Dortmund is the next person on the list. And last but not least, my brother Jobe, a striker with the same thoroughbred genes as our father.
