As Real Madrid moves into the latter phases of the season, it is certain that preparations for the summer transfer window will begin to take form.
The club’s desire to bolster the left-back position has been one of the big talking themes, as Real Madrid has been associated strongly with Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies over the last several months. This has been one of the major talking points.
Due to the fact that he has refused to sign a new contract without receiving a large rise in compensation, the future of the player who won the Champions League has been given a great lot of consideration.
In addition, Max Eberl, the sports director of Bayern Munich, has provided an update on the issue, during which he mentioned the rumors that Davies is in talks with Real Madrid.
With the horse’s mouth in mind
While acknowledging that the contract discussions have been going on for some time now and that a resolution has not yet been found, Eberl noted that Bayern has made a pitch that is beneficial to the club.
“I am able to state that we expressed our gratitude to Alphonso by making a very specific offer. He mentioned this via Christian Falk (h/t iMiaSanMia), who cited him as the source. “At some point in life, you have to say yes or no.”
In response to a question about whether Real Madrid has shown any interest in acquiring his services, Eberl said that Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have not spoken with one another. “Real Madrid has not contacted us,” he further stated.
Completed offer
In addition, according to the report, Bayern Munich is offering Alphonso Davies a contract for between 13 and 14 million euros that would be in effect until the year 2029.
According to the Bavarians, this is the last offer that the club will make, and they have no plans to increase it any more.
Davies is still asking a gross salary of twenty million euros every season, despite the fact that Bayern Munich’s most recent offer is just a few hundred thousand euros short of that amount.
Consequently, in the event that Davies does not agree to the conditions that Bayern Bayern has offered, it is reasonable to assume that Bayern would put him on the transfer market, so clearing the way for Real Madrid to make a strong offer.
