Real Madrid’s dreams of dressing Kylian Mbappe in the royal white jersey finally came to fruition today.
The French superstar was presented in front of a packed Santiago Bernabeu, where 85,000 fans feasted their eyes on their latest Galactico, cheering and celebrating.
Mbappe has met his new coach
Even though they were not present at unveiling, Kylian Mbappe has already had the chance to meet with Carlo Ancelotti and some of his new teammates.
While at Valdebebas to sign his five-year contract with Real Madrid, the player took the opportunity to connect with his new coach and begin building rapport with the squad.
In fact, Ancelotti posted a picture of them together on social media, with a message for the 25-year-old new signing.
To extend a warm welcome, the Italian manager posted a heartfelt message that read:
“Welcome to the best club in the world. Welcome to your home, Kylian. HALA MADRID!”
Mbappe opened up about crossing paths with Ancelotti
During his press conference, Mbappe was asked if he and Ancelotti had engaged in a conversation and the player revealed that they had spoken but nothing tactical.
Shedding light on the conversation, he said: “I spoke to the coach this morning in Valdebebas, but nothing tactical. I’m looking forward to playing with the players.”
In exactly one month, Real Madrid will have the opportunity to win their first title of the season as they lock horns in the UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta.
When asked if he would feature in the clash and be fully fit by then, Mbappe, responded:
“I’m sure I’ll play in the Super Cup, but it depends on the coach. I will be ready. It would be the first title and I’m looking forward to playing. But that question is for the coach (smiles).”
It remains to be seen if Mbappe will participate in the US pre-season tour, considering he is recovering from a rigorous campaign and a recent nose injury sustained while playing for France in the Euros.
