Jude Bellingham netted his 14th goal of the season for Real Madrid in Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Cadiz, breaking a record which was jointly held by Cristiano Ronaldo in the process.
Since joining Madrid in the summer, the England midfielder has been on fire, and he scored his 14th goal in only 15 games when he blasted in the third goal in a straightforward victory over Cadiz which took place over the weekend.
Although Ronaldo, Alfredo di Stefano, and Pruden Sanchez have all scored more goals in their first 15 games for Madrid, Bellingham has surpassed all of them. He has scored more goals than any other player in the history of the club.
Bellingham has now stormed ahead in the history books, despite the fact that the three players each scored 13 goals in their first 15 competitive games for Madrid.
Bellingham scored the last goal of the season in May 2023, which was his 42nd and final appearance for Borussia Dortmund. It is a coincidence since Bellingham scored 14 goals during the duration of the previous season.
During Ronaldo’s first season with Madrid, which was the 2009–10 campaign, he scored 33 goals in 35 games in all competitions. This presented Bellingham with the greatest task for his first year at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Due to a shoulder dislocation that he sustained before to the international break, Bellingham was a candidate for inclusion in the match versus Cadiz. However, his participation was uncertain. Due to the injury, the midfielder was forced to withdraw from the England team; nevertheless, he was immediately reinstated to the starting lineup for Madrid on Sunday.
“The problem he had, he still has it,” Carlo Ancelotti, the manager, said when asked about the player after the game. “With protection, he is fine.”
The Champions League match between Madrid and Napoli is scheduled to take place on Wednesday. On Saturday, Madrid will continue their La Liga season against Granada.
