Bayern Munich believe Alphonso Davies is more likely to leave the club this summer than sign a new contract at the Allianz Arena, according to a report.
As the negotiations for a new contract have not proceeded, the idea of Davies leaving Bavaria in the summer has been raised. Davies’ current contract is set to expire in 2025.
Real Madrid has been after Davies during the whole season, and it is said that they consider him to be one of their top transfer targets, along with Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain.
The report from Sky Sports Germany There is little doubt that Madrid will have no trouble reaching a personal agreement with Davies, and it is anticipated that they will give Bayern a maximum transfer cost of fifty million euros. Los Blancos, on the other hand, may make an effort to reduce that number if the contract dispute between the Canada international and the club continues until the summer.
The sports director of Bayern Munich, Christoph Freund, recently met with Davies’ agent in Munich, and the German champions have the impression that the left-back is more likely to be sold during the summer transfer window.
Because of injuries, Ferland Mendy has been in and out of the squad, while summer addition Fran Garcia has not been able to make the most of his few appearances so far this season. Left back has been a problematic position for Madrid so far this season. Eduardo Camavinga, who plays in the middle of the field, has also been had to play left back at different moments during the year.
It has also been speculated that Madrid may re-sign Miguel Gutierrez, who has been one of the most impressive players for Girona during this great season.
Davies, who is presently out with a ligament injury, has been subjected to criticism from German media this season in the midst of Bayern’s troubles. Other rumors indicate that he is one of many great players who might be moved in order to kick-start a rebuilding of the first-team squad.
