Having had to wait for a long time to get their man, Real Madrid finally signed Kylian Mbappe this year, as a free agent, after his contract with PSG expired.
The French superstar made his debut for Los Blancos today, in the UEFA Super Cup clash against Atalanta, and already made a mark, scoring his first goal in the royal white jersey.
Mbappe, who is Real Madrid’s No. 9, looked good throughout the game and even came close to scoring in the first half, with a shot getting blocked.
His moment finally came in the second period, though, when he buried the ball into the back of the Atalanta goal after being found inside the box by Jude Bellingham.

Mbappe wheeling away and hitting his traditional celebration as a Real Madrid player is a sight that Madridistas had hoped to see for years and it finally came true tonight.
With Federico Valverde having already scored and Mbappe’s strike making it 2-0, Real Madrid look primed to kickstart the new season with a trophy.
