When Real Madrid played Las Palmas on Wednesday night, there were several things going on. First of all, it showed that the Merengues were back on track after a small setback. The team also went back to the top of the La Liga standings that night.
Still, Vinicius Jr.’s return to the game may be one of the most important things to learn. The 23-year-old player came on for the last 30 minutes and tried an incredible 6 dribbles in that short time.
The star of the Selecao team won his 100th La Liga game with Real Madrid last night, and he talked to the media about it after the game.
“These are very beautiful times, and we have won a lot. It’s important that I got to 100 so quickly with this shirt, but I don’t want to stop here. I want to add another 100, 200, or 300 years to this club’s past. I want to keep getting titles and winning.”
Vinicius said this about the team’s rhythm in the closing third in general and their game against Las Palmas in particular:
“We’re all happy to keep adding and getting better. This is the only way to do it. Making it easier to reach our goals. Today took a long time, but when we give things many tries, they always work out in the end.”
At first, it was thought that the young player would have to miss eight games because of an illness. However, he worked hard to make sure he could come back much sooner. He talked about how he was feeling and how he was getting back into shape.
“I’m glad to see you again after a month. It may not seem like enough, but I’ve worked hard morning, noon, and night for days to get here with my best version. I need to keep getting better to keep up with the game.”
Vinicius also talked about how useless he felt when he was hurt and sitting on the bench, and how the medical staff helped him get better faster.
“All of the doctors and physical therapists are waiting on the hurt players so we can get back on the field as soon as possible. It’s too bad that you can’t help our team. It is very hard work. We have to go to the gym and get treatment, but the club gives us everything we need to do it well and as quickly as possible.”
The Brazilian star finally took a moment to thank his fans for all the love they had shown him through good times and bad.
“I’m very happy to get so much love from the fans. When I come here and wear this T-shirt, or when I go out, the fans love me a lot.”
“I’m glad this happened, that I’m back, and that I can help. “We need to stay strong if we want to win La Liga and the other important points we still need,” he said.
