While it is not officially confirmed, the signs unanimously point to Kylian Mbappe joining Real Madrid this summer. The Frenchman has yet to put pen to paper, but given the fact that he is currently looking at houses in Madrid, it seems pretty likely. With that said, let’s take a look at the potential Real Madrid lineup with Kylian Mbappe joining this summer…
Potential Real Madrid lineup with Kylian Mbappe next season
GK – Thibaut Courtois
Courtois could be distributing his goal kicks to a very special kind of striker next summer if Kylian Mbappe joins. Courtois is widely-regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world, so Carlo Ancelotti will be covered at both ends of the pitch next season if Mbappe joins.
Currently he is out injured, but the comeback is always better than the setback. The Belgian international will be hungry to get back out on the pitch and his fine performances between the sticks will serve Real Madrid for a few more years.
Courtois ages at 31 years old, meaning he is playing at the peak of his powers as a goalkeeper. In his longest career stint to date, Courtois has made a name for himself at the Bernabeu, so he will be excited by the prospect of playing with Mbappe next season.
RB – Dani Carvajal
The right back’s contract expires in summer 2025, but Real Madrid should push to extend his stay. After all, he’s been an excellent asset to the team this season.
CB – David Alaba
He is currently out injured, but Alaba will be prepared to go again next season. The 31-year-old is an exceptional centre back who has the versatility to play elsewhere. Should he pop up in the midfield, he may have more direct discourse with Kylian next season.
CB – Antonio Rudiger
Rudiger is an incredible centre-back with bags of experience. He has experience of playing AGAINST Kylian both for club and country. Therefore, he will be excited to sit back and watch the sensational Frenchman in action, rather than tiring himself out defending against him.
LB – Alphonso Davies
Kylian Mbappe might not be the only incoming this summer, as Alphonso Davies is also linked with a move to Real Madrid, having agreed personal terms. This is exciting because both players can play on the left, so the rapid speed of both new signings could be terrifying for Real Madrid’s opponents.
CM – Federico Valverde
Federico Valverde has already welcomed Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid, complimenting him as a player and claiming he is always welcomed. The thought of the two 25-year-olds in the same team is quite remarkable. They both broke through at similar times, so it’s poetry in motion that they could be playing on the same team next season.
CM – Aurélien Tchouaméni
The first player in the starting eleven who has experience of playing with Kylian Mbappe, Aurélien Tchouaméni will be more than excited to work with Mbappe at domestic level.
Tchouaméni has been a first-team regular this season, particularly since the turn of the calendar year. He will certainly be excited for the new season, where he hopes to push on for more silverware with Kylian Mbappe.
CM – Jude Bellingham
Bellingham has had a terrific first season with Real Madrid, scoring a plethora of goals and taking on an attacking midfielder role. Having scored 20 goals and provided six assists for Los Blancos this season, imagine how much those attacking returns will improve with Kylian Mbappe leading the line next season.
RW – Rodrygo
Rodyrgo has been part of a terrific Real Madrid attack this season, scoring eight La Liga goals and providing four assists. Despite playing primarily as a striker this season, the Brazilian will return to his common position on the right-wing next season, to accommodate Kylian Mbappe.
CF – Kylian Mbappe
One of the best players in the world, joining the best attack in the world. Kylian Mbappe running behind and supplying Vini and Rodrygo will be a sight to behold, and one which should terrify the rest of Europe.
LW – Vinicius Junior
Vinicius Junior is also one of the best players in the world, who will certainly thrive playing alongside Kylian Mbappe. He will complete this attack, which is one of the fastest and most prolific in the world. His versatility will allow him to swap and change with Mbappe but in truth, this entire front three is fluid, which should work in Ancelotti’s favour.
