Claudio Echeverri is one of the most exciting young talents in South America who is attracting a lot of interest in Europe.
The 17-year-old River Plate wonderkid shone brightly at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup not so long ago, further increasing the number of suitors wanting to sign him.
Echeverri, a versatile attacking midfielder, has a contract with River Plate until December 31, 2024. But last night he announced that he will not be signing a new contract with the South American giants and will likely be on his way out in six months.
Real Madrid also following Echeverri
It has been well-publicised that the likes of Barcelona and Manchester City are strong admirers of Echeverri, with reports suggesting that they are considering triggering his €25 million release clause.
But, as per El Espanol, Real Madrid are also among the admirers of the Argentine wonderkid and are following his progress.
Los Blancos have developed a reputation for identifying and signing the best young talents from the Brazilian market, in particular, in recent seasons, with Endrick set to be the latest addition through that policy.
Real Madrid continue to keep an eye out on generational talent in South America and it appears that Echeverri has popped up on their radars as well.
However, it is unclear at this point as to how serious the interest from the Merengues in the Argentine wonderkid is.
