This week, Arda Guler was the hero for Real Madrid as they earned a narrow victory against Real Sociedad by a score of 1-0. This victory brought Los Blancos one step closer to winning the championship.
The guys in white did, in fact, undergo a significant amount of rotation on the evening when the UEFA Champions League semifinal was taking place. At the Reale Arena, however, it is impossible to dispute that La Real performed really well in their match.
Takefusa Kubo, a former great player for Real Madrid, was one of the players who demonstrated the most impressive performance for Imanol Alguacil’s team yesterday night. During the course of the evening, the winger, who is 22 years old, began the game and produced one shot on target, three vital passes, and three successful dribbles.
On the cards is a sale.
Kubo has developed into one of the most dependable players for Real Sociedad throughout his time there, and he has made a number of impressive plays during his time there. There are a number of great teams who are interested in signing him, and his release clause is now set at sixty million euros.
One of the European heavyweights that is interested in acquiring him is Liverpool, and they are prepared to pay the price that was suggested before. As disclosed by Defensa Central, this is a piece of news that is quite crucial for Real Madrid since it provides a big amount of money to their coffers in a roundabout way.
Los Blancos retain 50% of Kubo’s rights and are thus entitled to €30 million should any club pay his release clause and sign him. With a massive summer up ahead, an inflow of such a sum would undoubtedly help the club’s finances.
Cut-throat competition
A player of Kubo’s calibre is indeed worthy of playing at Real Madrid. His trickery down the flank makes him a difficult customer to deal with and an asset for Los Blancos’ counter-attacking football.
As it stands, however, Real Madrid are overstocked in the attacking midfield department with Jude Bellingham, Brahim Diaz and Arda Guler all fighting for one spot.
With Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe and Endrick set to fight for the places in attack next season, there is clearly no space for the youngster’s incorporation.
Kubo’s missing out on a place at the club of his dreams can only be described as unfortunate, but his sale would open many doors for the club and is in the best interest of all parties involved.
