A hamstring injury sustained by Antonio Rudiger during Real Madrid’s match against Getafe at the beginning of the month added to the team’s list of players who have been injured.
As a result of the knock to his thigh, Rudiger has been unable to participate in matches against Atletico Madrid, Girona, RB Leipzig, and Rayo Vallecano.
Although the German center defender was included on the squad list and was extremely close to participating against Girona, he was unable to participate due to an injury to his thigh, which prolonged the period of time during which he was recovering.
In spite of the fact that he has been absent from a number of crucial matches for the Merengues, it seems that his comeback is getting closer.
If his rehabilitation continues as planned, Rudiger is scheduled to play Sevilla.
In point of fact, according to AS (via Madrid Zone), Rudiger will make his long-awaited return to action in Real Madrid’s next match against Sevilla, provided that his rehabilitation process proceeds as planned.
Real Madrid is now experiencing a lack of choices in central defense as a result of the 30-year-old player’s absence from the team’s most recent few matches.
As a matter of fact, Aurilien Tchouameni has been filling in for his absence in defense, despite the fact that his primary role is that of a defensive midfielder. In addition, Dani Carvajal has been used as a substitute center back by the team during his absence.
Therefore, the news that Rudiger will soon be returning is likely to provide relief to the coaching staff, who have been constantly using inventive methods at the back in order to deal with the injury problem that they are now experiencing.
With Dani Carvajal and Eduardo Camavinga, two of the most prominent players in the league, banned for the match, Los Blancos will get a significant boost if they are able to keep Rudiger on their roster. This will allow them to further strengthen their position as the league leaders.
The German stalwart is scheduled to make his comeback against Sevilla on the weekend, despite the fact that prior sources said that Rudiger’s prospects of being completely fit by the following week are exceedingly modest if his rehabilitation goes according to plan.
