There have now been three derbies between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid during the 2023-24 season, and it is fair to say that each of the three matches has been an outstanding show to watch.
All three matches in the Madrid derby have resulted in decisive outcomes, demonstrating that Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid have taken the competition to a higher level.
Real Madrid suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of Los Rojiblancos, who were the side who faced off against Real Madrid for the first time. After that, the two teams competed against one another in the Middle East for the semifinals of the Supercopa de Espana. The Merengues emerged victorious over their competitors and ultimately triumphed to claim the championship.
The two teams engaged in a tough match that went far into extra time during the Copa del Rey competition, which took place a few days later. In the end, Atletico Madrid ultimately emerged victorious and eliminated Carlo Ancelotti’s team from the tournament, so causing Real Madrid to suffer their second loss of the season.

The fight between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will take place once again on Sunday, February 4, and this time it will take place in the Spanish League.
The date of the match, on the other hand, has been a source of contention, with Diego Simeone’s team requesting that the match be postponed beforehand.
The first leg of the Copa del Rey semifinal match between the Colchoneros and Athletic Club is slated to take place on Wednesday, February 7th.
In light of the fact that they will have less than forty-eight hours to be ready for the same following the Madrid derby, they are hoping that it will be moved to Saturday instead.
There are no privileges provided.
Now, according to sources from Carrusel Deportivo (with a citation from Madrid Xtra), there is no plan of moving the Madrid derby from Sunday to Saturday, as Atletico Madrid would want to do.
It should come as no surprise that Los Rojiblancos are dissatisfied with new developments. It is possible that the decision may be altered in response to an official request; however, it is still unknown if the club management will follow the aforementioned lever.
However, Real Madrid does not have an easy schedule by any stretch of the imagination since they have three crucial games scheduled for the first, fourth, and tenth of the month. These games are against Getafe, Atletico Madrid, and Girona.
It is possible that their removal from the cup will turn out to be a gift in disguise in many different ways.
