A few days ago, we affirmed that Real Madrid youth team player Peter Gonzalez is closing in on his move to Valencia, and while it is true that the 21-year-old will, in fact, move, other teams such as Rayo Vallecano, Getafe, Villarreal and Las Palmas have emerged as potential suitors, reports MARCA.
Real Madrid and Peter mutually decided a few weeks ago that their association needs to come to an end. His agent, Manuel García Quilon, quickly worked out a deal with Valencia, including their sports management and coach, for the player to join their team.
It is said that Valencia coach, Ruben Baraja, liked Peter and informed the club about it. Everything seemed to be going smoothly, but it turns out that the owners of Valencia and the wishes of the coach don’t align.
So what next?
Because of the aforementioned, Peter’s agent, along with Real Madrid’s agreement, is now considering other offers.
In that regard, Rayo Vallecano, Getafe, Villarreal, and Las Palmas are some of the other teams that have already shown interest in the 21-year-old who made his debut with Real Madrid’s first team during the 2021-22 season under Zinedine Zidane.
It is to be noted that the winger hasn’t played for Castilla in a few games and doesn’t plan to play until the winter transfer window is over. He was highly expected to be on loan to Valencia until the end of the season with an option to buy, but things are getting complicated.
Real Madrid are working, but Valencia are not
The people in charge at Real Madrid are in touch with the player, but the deal isn’t being finalized by those who need to make it happen, which is Valencia.
Initially, it seemed like the youngster would join Los Che, but the fellow La Liga side have suddenly dropped their interest. Although they have maintained contact with the player, there is no offer to work on for Real Madrid.
While at one point, it was expected that Peter would go to Valencia, it is now getting complicated.
As of today, both Real Madrid and Peter’s agent don’t want him to stay in the Spanish capital until the end of the season as they want him to progress, but not within the safety of Madrid, which is why the exit is necessary.
