Reinier Jesus’ time at Real Madrid has been a major disappointment. Having arrived in January 2020, the youngster is still yet to make his first-team debut for the club and has constantly been farmed out on loan, where he has failed to impress.
Reinier spent the last season on loan at Italian club Frosinone but did not make much of an impact. Now back at Madrid, the Brazilian is not part of the first-team setup and has been doing pre-season with Castilla while waiting to sort out his future.
No offers for Reinier
Now, according to AS, even though Reinier’s future is far away from Real Madrid, the 22-year-old is yet to receive a single offer to leave the club this summer.
The former Flamengo starlet has been discarded fully by Carlo Ancelotti which was indicated by the fact that he was left out of the US pre-season tour even when the manager took along youngsters like Cesar Palacios, Alvaro Rodriguez, and Juanmi Latasa, among others.
Not getting bogged down by the situation, Reinier has stepped up in pre-season for Castilla, scoring four goals, including a stunning hat-trick which Ancelotti himself watched from the stands.
However, with no future at the club, the Brazilian’s aim is to play top-flight football in Spain or anywhere else in Europe.
The Brazilian attacking midfielder’s entourage tells AS that the footballer “is focused on training” and his good pre-season “excites the clubs that follow him”.
Rayo Vallecano have previously been credited with interest in the 22-year-old but there has been no formal approach as of yet.
With less than two weeks left before the transfer window closes, Reinier will be hoping to find a new team for himself at the earliest possible.
