Reports emerged earlier this week suggesting that Alphonso Davies’ transfer to Real Madrid in the summer of 2025 is pretty much a done deal at this point.
The 24-year-old will become a free agent at the end of the season as his contract at Bayern Munich will expire and is said to have all but agreed a move to the Spanish capital club.
Davies rejects Barcelona, Manchester United
Now, corroborating those claims, MARCA reports that Davies’ move to Real Marid is all but secure with an agreement in place, which will be signed in January when the Canadian international will be eligible to finalise a pre-contract deal before joining in the summer.
The Bayern full-back asked for a series of conditions and already knows that Real Madrid are willing to accept them and as such, if there are no hiccups, the agreement could be fully sealed in January.
In fact, the report goes on to add that Davies has rejected approaches from other top clubs like Barcelona and Manchester United in order to join Los Blancos.
Barça and Man United are said to have been in contact with Davies’ entourage in recent days to try and beat Real Madrid to his capture.
The Blaugrana tried to use the player’s connection with Hansi Flick to convince him while the Red Devils were prepared to offer a lucrative contract and bonus.
Despite that, both Barcelona and Manchester United faced rejection as Davies only wanted Real Madrid and if nothing goes wrong, will be turning out for the men in white come the 2025/26 season.
