The price tag
The German journalist relays that Los Blancos are joined by Bayern Munich in the race to sign the Bayer Leverkusen star. The Bavarians, in fact, are seriously interested in pursuing his signing.
It is assumed that the transfer fee required to unshackle him from Leverkusen next summer will be around the €100 million mark and not the €150 million his club demands.

So far this season, Wirtz has scored four goals and provided one assist in just four starts and even scored a brace in the UEFA Champions League. Contractually bound to Leverkusen until 2027, the final decision will lie in the player’s park.
As reported yesterday, Arsenal too have entered the race for Wirtz while the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool are also admirers of the German sensation.
So, Real Madrid will have their task cut out if they do intend to sign the youngster from Leverkusen come 2025.
