With every passing international break, Real Madrid youngster Arda Guler establishes himself as a more integral part of the Turkish national team and helps his side soar to greater heights.
The recently concluded hiatus was no different as the Real Madrid talent starred against Montenegro and then played 89 minutes against Iceland recording one goal and three key passes on the night.
His level on the international stage, however, has not translated to as much prominence as he would have hoped for with Real Madrid but it is clear that he is on the night track.
Ancelotti trusts Guler
As revealed in a recent report on MARCA, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti continues to trust Arda Guler for his plans both this season and in the long run.
The Italian plans on giving the 19-year-old versatile midfielder more prominence as time passes and as the calendar further tightens up with competitions like Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup yet to come.
Guler, for his part, knows that he is in the best place to grow and develop and believes that he will be important for Real Madrid throughout the season.
After all, the youngster always knew that it would be difficult for him to fight for a starting spot with Kylian Mbappe’s arrival, especially given the change in formation and the presence of the likes of Luka Modric, Jude Bellingham and Brahim Diaz in the same niche.
So far this season, Guler has played in seven games for Real Madrid this season, starting thrice and averaging 1.3 key chances per game.
While he has been a spark on the field in attack, his defensive contributions have come under scrutiny from the manager.
