Although there are a lot of supporters who would disagree with Real Madrid’s utter lack of action during the transfer window in January, this is not something that should come as a surprise to anybody. At this point in time, it seems as if the club always works with a long-term goal in mind and does not want to alter course, even when things are heading in the wrong direction. No one can legitimately claim that it has not been successful for them.In spite of their lack of depth and the fact that they have been dealing with injuries, Los Blancos are one of the most in-form teams in Europe.
Karim Benzema’s exit from Real Madrid is one of the things that has not gone according to plan for the club in recent years. The Frenchman joined Al-Ittihad after the conclusion of the previous season, despite the fact that it had been anticipated for a considerable amount of time that he would sign a one-year extension.
On the other hand, Benzema’s time at Al-Ittihad has not been as easy as everyone had anticipated it to be. As a consequence of this, he has been connected with a return to Europe, perhaps on a loan for a shorter period of time.
There were even rumors that Carlo Ancelotti wanted Real Madrid to include Benzema on their roster for the second half of the season. However, it seems that they are not correct.
The comeback of Real Madrid has been ruled out by Ancelotti.
When questioned about allegations indicating that he wanted Florentino Perez to re-sign Benzema, Ancelotti responded in his press conference as follows, as reported by ESPN:
“It is a fabrication. We have not discussed this matter with the club at this time.
Under the direction of Carlo Ancelotti, Benzema was able to achieve some of the most impressive performances of his career, even earning him the Ballon d’Or. However, if we were to bring him back for the second half of the season on a short-term loan, that would make a great lot of sense from a theoretical standpoint.
The goal of Real Madrid is to simultaneously win the Champions League and the La Liga championship. Because Benzema has a great deal of experience in both of those contests, he is in a position to unquestionably make a contribution that is beneficial. It is not as if he disappeared over the summer, when he was at the end of his career. During the previous season, the legendary French player scored a total of 31 goals.
