Six months before the transfer market opens, Real Madrid has already set their eyes on a few players. They have decided not to sign anybody during the winter transfer window since doing so would damage their long-term intentions.
It goes without saying that Kylian Mbappe, who has been on their radar for the last five years, is at the top of the list this time. And despite the fact that it has been said and done in the past, it seems that this year will finally be the one in which the Frenchman is able to realize his ambition of going to the Santiago Bernabeu.
In addition to that, Madrid will be aiming to acquire a center defender. Eder Militao and David Alaba are both out for the season due to injuries to their anterior cruciate ligaments (ACL), therefore their future and form will be uncertain until they return. In addition, it is quite probable that Nacho, the captain, will depart on a free transfer at the conclusion of the current season.
And last but not least, Alphonso Davies of Bayern Munich is the participant who seems to be the most probable at the moment. The Spanish club Madrid has made it very apparent that they are interested in the Canadian player, and they want to go headfirst into the market in the effort to accomplish his deal.
Despite the fact that Los Blancos are concerned about their left-back position, they feel that Davies has the potential to be the answer to their issues. After achieving his full potential at Munich, he is also considering his options for joining Madrid.
Mendy could be asked to go if Davies is signed.
Having stated that, Madrid already has two left-backs on its roster, and their names are Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia. Due to worries over his injury history and form, it has been claimed on many occasions that they will be attempting to unload the former player.
In spite of this, it has been claimed by MARCA that Mendy’s future would be handled in a manner that is contingent upon the outcome of discussions with Davies.
Mendy’s current contract expires in 2025, and Madrid has not indicated that they want to extend it. As a result, it is quite likely that he will leave the club over the summer.
Even if the player is motivated to demonstrate his value during this remaining part of the season, it is even more probable that the club will search for an option for Davies rather than renewing Mendy and continuing to use him as the first-choice player at the club.
