A major highlight of the summer transfer window of 2023 was Real Madrid snatching Arda Guler away from Barcelona.
At one point, it appeared as though the Turkish talent was headed for Catalonia, but the Merengues signed him before his competitors.
In his early days at the club, Guler made a good impression by dominating in the weight room and making headlines across major media channels. But from then on, things went wrong.

The young player’s career at Real Madrid has so far been hampered by injuries. He has been fully limited to the sidelines since his first meniscal rupture, which required surgery, and the subsequent blows to his muscles.
It is already six months into the season, and the player has not yet made his Real Madrid debut. But now it doesn’t seem so far away.
Guler is almost fully fit and will be available for selection for Real Madrid’s match following the Christmas break, according to AS (via The Madrid Zone).
That means that next week against Mallorca, he should make his debut.
Given the amount of injuries he has sustained in the span of six months in Spain, there are questions over his level of fitness. Real Madrid has been exercising extreme caution with the 18-year-old prodigy as a result.
However, as things stand, every indication is that the Turkish gem will make his debut against Mallorca.

At the start of the season, a lot of questions surrounded Real Madrid’s dynamic, system, and strategy.
Guler would have had an easier time integrating into the manager’s system at that stage rather than facing out against some of the greatest in the industry as he does now.
The young player fills the same role as Jude Bellingham, the first name on Real Madrid’s team sheet right now, as an attacking midfielder.
In addition, Brahim Diaz will be a direct rival after making a compelling case in recent weeks.
Los Blancos will attempt to gradually and painlessly integrate Guler, as he was always a long-term player. It should go without saying that his fitness will always come first.
