Reinier Jesus arrived at Real Madrid in January 2020 after Los Blancos shelled out €30 million for his transfer from Flamengo.
At the time, he was one of the highest-rated Brazilian prospects, seen as a player who could leave his mark on Los Blancos for years to come.
Four years later, the 22-year-old is yet to make his debut for Real Madrid and has had loan stints at Borussia Dortmund, Girona, and Frosinone. Now back in Madrid, the administration is working hard to secure another exit.
Registered for the Time Being
Reinier has been registered with the Castilla side for the lower division of the Spanish league despite previous reports suggesting otherwise.
After all, he impressed during pre-season, including a hat-trick in the team’s opening pre-season friendly ahead of the new season.
As revealed by AS, however, this does not imply that his future in Madrid is secure. Reinier’s future is still uncertain, and the club is eager to part ways with him as soon as possible.
It remains unclear whether Real Madrid prefers selling the player or loaning him out. Given the relative lack of offers, however, they could accept any proposal for Reinier that comes their way.
Clubs interested in Reinier
Earlier this week, it was revealed that clubs from three countries have their eyes on the 22-year-old Brazilian.
Norwich City from England is exploring the possibility of signing Reinier on loan, while Tenerife and Eibar in Spain are also said to be interested.
Rayo Vallecano have also been linked heavily but no offer has come forward yet.
Outside of Europe, clubs in Brazil do not view the player’s return to his home country unfavourably. After all, he has previously shown the profile required to succeed there.
With the summer transfer window nearing its close, the youngster’s future could become a hot topic of discussion in the coming weeks.
