After scoring a goal in Real Madrid’s most recent 3-0 victory over Real Valladolid, Endrick made history by becoming the youngest player from a foreign country to score for Real Madrid in La Liga.
The Frenchman Raphael Varane had previously held the record for most goals scored in a single game, but the young Brazilian forward surpassed that record with his outstanding performance.
Endrick had an abundance of encouragement from his teammates.
Following his performance against Real Valladolid, Endrick has, without a doubt, been showered with a multitude of compliments from both fans and coaches alike.
A number of the forward’s teammates have also joined in on the celebration, posting messages of love and support on his various social media profiles.
However, it is fascinating to note that Endrick looks to have also earned himself a moniker within the Real Madrid locker room.
Indeed, on the forward’s recent Instagram post, many Real Madrid teammates can be seen commenting and labelling him as ‘Bobby’.
Where does ‘Bobby’ come from?
The origin of Endrick’s nickname “Bobby” may be traced back to none other than Sir Bobby Charlton, the legendary player for Manchester United.
In previous interviews, Endrick had acknowledged that Charlton was one of the inspirations he looked up to. Because of this, some in the Real Madrid locker room have begun to refer to him as “Bobby.”
With all of the players affectionately referring to Endrick as “Bobby,” it is clear that the teenager has made a good transition into the locker room.
The goal that Endrick will now strive to achieve is to maintain his lethal form over the entirety of the campaign and to establish himself as a regular member of the first squad at Santiago Bernabeu.
The following match for him will be on Thursday, when the team that is currently crowned champions of Europe will compete against Las Palmas in the Canary Islands.
