A journalist by the name of Jose Felix Diaz stated via MARCA that Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde had proposals from Saudi Arabia during the summer of the previous year, in addition to Bayern Munich’s attempts to entice him to join the club.
However, the midfielder did not even consider leaving Real Madrid since his aim has always been to lead Los Blancos. He did not even consider the possibility of leaving Real Madrid.
A one-of-a-kind football superstar
There are comforts and enticing offers that Valverde has gotten from other places, but he has chosen to ignore them in order to win his spot on the squad. Valverde has earned his place for himself.
Because of this, his unwavering dedication to the club is guiding him toward the realization of his desire of wearing the captain’s armband for Real Madrid at some point in the future.
Just a few short months ago, Valverde signed a contract extension with Madrid, which would keep him with the club until the year 2029. This would bring to a close a cycle of thirteen years spent in the capital of Spain and eleven seasons spent playing for the first team.
During the process of signing an extension, the Uruguayan was conscious of the attention that he had aroused, and he was aware that he could easily fend off Spain in order to make a significant amount of money. On the other hand, the midfielder was able to reach an agreement that included a release clause of one billion euros.
Offer was tempting for Real Madrid too
In 2016 when Valverde arrived from Penerol, he cost Madrid just €5 million, but over the years, his market value has skyrocketed almost 20 times.
The Saudi League was prepared to offer an astronomical sum to make him their centrepiece, but the player’s commitment towards the team triumphed over the financial allure.
Meanwhile, it’s not just Valverde who dreams of leading Real Madrid, as it is said that even esteemed figures, including Carlo Ancelotti, believe that he is destined to wear that captain’s band.
Ancelotti challenges him to continually evolve, having previously set targets for his contributions in the last season.
Now, the expectation is for him to transform into the total midfielder—a player capable of seizing the ball in his own area, driving it to the opponent, distributing and battling, maintaining and disrupting the game’s rhythm. In essence, he is urged to become the complete player.
