When the news of Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni suffering a foot fracture emerged after the win against Barcelona, it was reported that the Frenchman would be out for at least two months.
It came as a bitter blow for the Merengues, considering that the 23-year-old had been in very good form prior to the injury.
But, Tchouameni has returned to team training much earlier than anticipated, joining the group this week, and is expected to be on the squad list for the Villarreal clash.
Real Madrid doctors shocked by Tchouameni’s recovery
Now, AS (h/t Madrid Zone) is reporting that Real Madrid’s club doctors have been left shocked and surprised about how well the midfielder’s recovery has gone over the past month and a half.
It is claimed that the 23-year-old worked very hard during his time off to make a comeback from injury as quickly as possible and it has paid off for him.
As per the update, Tchouameni is in perfect shape already even though he returned to group training only a day ago and it is not ruled out that he will start in the game against Villarreal on Sunday.
Having arrived at Real Madrid in the summer of 2022, Tchouameni has filled in the void left by the departure of Casemiro.
The 23-year-old endured a dip in form during the second half of the last season, but was in top form this campaign before getting injured against Barcelona.
His potential availability for the upcoming games will certainly come as a boost for manager Carlo Ancelotti as Real Madrid look to reclaim top spot in the La Liga table.
