Xabi Alonso, the manager of Bayer Leverkusen, has said that he will make his own choice on his future and that he will think about it whenever he believes it is the appropriate moment. Real Madrid has been one of the clubs that has been linked to him.
Since there is widespread conjecture stating that Carlo Ancelotti is scheduled to leave the Santiago Bernabeu at the conclusion of the season, Alonso has been firmly connected with the managerial post at Real Madrid this season. This is because Madrid is forced to be on the lookout for a successor for Ancelotti, who has been in charge of Real Madrid since the beginning of the season.
Not only have there been rumors that link Alonso to the powerhouse of La Liga, but he has also surfaced as a possible contender to replace Jurgen Klopp as the manager of Liverpool.
On the other hand, when questioned about his future, the former midfielder responded to The Guardian by saying that he is not currently considering such possibilities.
“The answer to that question is dependent on whether you want to be forced to accept the decisions of other people or whether you want to make your own decisions,” he stated.
And I have been clear up to this point. I shall make my own choices whenever I believe that the time is perfect for whatever it is that I am considering. So it is going to take place without a doubt,” he said.
Alonso’s direct arrival at Real Madrid is uncertain
The idea that Alonso is the most likely candidate to succeed Ancelotti has been mentioned quite a few times in the past on many occasions. On the other hand, as was said previously, Florentino Perez, the president of Madrid, is not even close to being satisfied about his nomination as Ancelotti’s replacement.
Because Alonso is a relatively young coach, it is possible that he does not entirely fit with the criteria that Perez is looking for. The president of Madrid is looking for an experienced candidate, and it looks that Alonso does not meet all of the requirements.
Perez continues to have doubts, despite the fact that he acknowledges the former midfielder’s remarkable growth while playing for Leverkusen.
Alonso is also being linked to the Real Sociedad post, according to these rumors that have been circulating. It is by this path that Alonso will get the much-required experience to ultimately coach Real Madrid, and Sociedad, who are now being led by Imanol Alguacil, will be able to acquire a manager of the highest caliber.
