- Real Madrid interested in signing Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies and Lille’s Leny Yoro
- Much of club’s budget will be spent facilitating Kylian Mbappe transfer
- Los Blancos ideally want defensive duo not to sign new contracts at current clubs
Real Madrid transfer targets Alphonso Davies and Leny Yoro have been told they should not sign contract extensions with their respective clubs if they wish to move to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, according to a report.
The bulk of attention that has been focused on Madrid’s summer preparations has been directed around Kylian Mbappe, who is generally anticipated to join the club on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.
The bulk of Madrid’s budget is allocated to paying for Mbappe’s salaries, signing-on fees, and bonuses, according to the report by MACA. As a result, it is possible that the club will have less money available to spend on defensive reinforcements.
Although Yoro, who is just 18 years old and plays for Lille, has swiftly become one of Madrid’s preferred center-back possibilities, Davies, who plays for Bayern Munich, continues to be Madrid’s top left-back target.
The contracts of both Davis and Yoro are set to expire in 2025; however, it has been made quite apparent that Madrid will only be able to afford them this summer if they are able to reject the efforts of their respective teams to convince them to prolong their contracts. There is a possibility that Madrid will be able to sign the two players at reduced rates if they reach the last year of their respective contracts.
Due in part to Madrid’s recent success with other young French stars, such as Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni, who both proved to be successes in the Spanish capital after moving from Ligue 1 at a young age, the club has recently developed a strong interest in Yoro.
If a new contract is not finalized within the next few months, Los Blancos anticipate that Lille will reduce their value of Yoro, which was originally set at sixty million euros. At the time of his transition into the professional ranks at the age of 16, Yoro is still bound by the conditions of the contract he signed with Lille.
Despite the fact that Paris Saint-Germain is also interested in Yoro, Madrid believes that they have the advantage because to their long-standing influence in the game and their recent success in developing emerging talents.
