Real Madrid need to bring in reinforcements in the full-back areas. Alphonso Davies is someone who has been linked with the club constantly over the past few seasons and a move to Santiago Bernabeu seems inevitable at some point. On the opposite flank, Dani Carvajal continues to perform at a high level. But sooner or later, the club will need to make an addition there, with the Spaniard being 32 years of age.
Trent Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool is someone who has been heavily linked with Real Madrid in recent weeks. His current deal is believed to be running out in a year.
Trent is not the only Premier League right-back seemingly on Real Madrid’s radar though. It looks like the Spanish giants are interested in one of Manchester United’s players as well.
As reported by GIVEMESPORT, Real Madrid could make an unexpected move for Diogo Dalot next year as the Manchester United right-back has worked his way onto their radar. Los Blancos have refused to rule out the possibility of making a transfer bid for him in less than 12 months’ time when they aim to bolster their backline.
Real Madrid interested in Manchester United full-back
Dalot has been an important player for Manchester United. At one point, it looked like his career was headed nowhere at Old Trafford but that changed following the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Dalot got back into the first-team picture during Ralf Rangnick’s time as Manchester United boss. That run has continued with Erik ten Hag in the Old Trafford hot seat.
It remains to be seen whether Real Madrid end up making a move for Dalot or not. They might need to shell out a decent figure to sign him though as he still has several years left on his contract with Manchester United.
