The summer of 2024 might usher in a sea of upheaval at Real Madrid, as manager Carlo Ancelotti’s contract is about to expire.
Furthermore, changes to the squad are possible, with stalwarts like as Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, and Nacho Fernandez having their contracts expire.
Xabi Alonso of Bayer Leverkusen has been regarded as the primary candidate to succeed Ancelotti as Real Madrid manager.
The Spaniard’s credentials have been bolstered further by Leverkusen’s scorching start to the current season.
However, Real Madrid, along with the Bundesliga club’s management, may be interested in some of the players who are succeeding for Die Werkself.
Real Madrid is interested in Frimpong, Wirtz, and Boniface.
According to SPORT, Real Madrid is keeping an eye on three Bayer Leverkusen players: Florian Wirtz, Victor Boniface, and Jeremie Frimpong.
Despite Dani Carvajal’s excellent start to the season, Real Madrid need to find a long-term replacement for the right-back, with Frimpong appearing as a possible candidate.
The 22-year-old Dutchman, who is under contract with Leverkusen until 2028, has flourished under Alonso’s direction and is expected to cost approximately €45 million.
Meanwhile, Boniface, who just joined Leverkusen this summer, is swiftly developing as one of Europe’s most prolific youth goal scorers.

In 16 appearances in all competitions, the 22-year-old Nigerian has 11 goals and six assists. He, too, is under contract with the Bundesliga club and would fetch a sum of roughly €40 million if he were to go.
Finally, Wirtz is a player that is garnering a lot of attention from prominent teams all around Europe, including Real Madrid and Barcelona.
After overcoming his knee issues, the German wonderkid has been on fire this season, with six goals and 10 assists in 17 games.
Signing Wirtz, on the other hand, would be difficult considering that his contract expires in 2027 and his starting salary would be roughly €85 million.
