Real Madrid has had a rough season in terms of injuries and fitness difficulties in 2023/24.
Several key players have been out for extended periods of time in the first three months of the season, with several still undergoing treatment.
Real Madrid’s long-term injury absentees include Eder Militao and Thibaut Courtois, who are scheduled to return later in the season after recovering from ACL ruptures.
Arda Guler, Aurelien Tchouameni, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Dani Ceballos, and star player Jude Bellingham are all injured.
Three players will return against Cadiz.
Now, AS has published a report detailing the likely comeback dates for the injured Real Madrid players.
According to the latest news, three players – Bellingham, Kepa, and Ceballos – are set to return immediately after the international break and be ready to face Cadiz.
Bellingham injured his shoulder against Rayo Vallecano a little more than a week ago and missed the next games against SC Braga and Valencia.
The 20-year-old was called up to the England national team for their games over the international break, but the Three Lions released Bellingham earlier today, and he will now return to Madrid to finish his recuperation.
Kepa, on the other hand, was injured during the warm-up for the match against SC Braga. His healing period, like Bellingham’s, was expected to be approximately two weeks, which meant he’d be ready to face Cadiz.
Ceballos, meanwhile, is rehabilitating from his second injury of the season. Even though it was thought that he would return in early November, it did not happen, and he is now scheduled to return against Cadiz.
Tchouameni and Guler after the holidays
Arda Guler’s predicament has been the most difficult, since he has yet to play a single game for Real Madrid since coming in the summer.
The Turkish prodigy has already sustained his third injury of the season, and the club want to take things slowly with him, which means he will not be pushed back.
As a result, fans may have to wait until after the mid-season Christmas break to watch the youngster play.
The same is likely to be true for Aurelien Tchouameni, who is healing from a broken foot sustained during the Clasico victory.
