Rodrygo Goes, a winger for Real Madrid, has already had a difficult ride thus far this season, and the season has only just begun.
After Kylian Mbappé’s arrival and his reputation as an unquestioned starter, many people have come to the conclusion that the young player does not have a place in the dynamics of the manager. This is especially true when considering the fact that the right flank position was the only one that was up for grabs in the final third.
The fact that his first performance of the season, which was against Atalanta, did not provide fans with anything to work with just served to increase the amount of strain they were under.

Rodrygo, who was under increasing amounts of pressure, started Real Madrid’s match against Mallorca earlier this week on the right wing and gave a performance that hushed all of the naysayers.
The rising star scored the only goal of the evening for the squad, had two successful dribbles, and had two shots on target in the course of the game’s first ninety minutes. As an additional point of interest, he completed 91% of his passes and recorded one vital pass.
According to a recent article that was published by Rodra (with attribution to RM4Arab), Real Madrid is in a state of calm following the disappointing defeat against Mallorca, but they view Rodrygo’s performance as the positive takeaway with them.
His performance, placement, and moves on the night brought to mind Karim Benzema’s role at the club, when he essentially functioned as the link between the midfielders and the attackers. In fact, many people were reminded of this role by his performance.
The Brazilian sensation has only played in two games since taking on his new role, so he still has a long way to go before he is fully acclimated to the new dynamic. However, if his most recent performance is any indication, there is reason to be optimistic about the situation.
For the foreseeable future, the kid will continue to serve as the right-winger of the team’s first choice. However, he will be responsible for drifting in the middle of the field throughout the buildup, particularly because Dani Carvajal will be providing the necessary width on the side.
Therefore, he is positioned generally in the middle of the field, which allows him to play the role of the team’s fake striker alongside Kylian Mbappe. Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr. are able to break the lines with their skills.
