With the exception of their star striker, Real Madrid has made left back their primary objective for the summer transfer window. Alphonso Davies, who plays for Bayern Munich, is at the top of their list. Real Madrid believes that they have the ability to take advantage of the fact that contract negotiations have been stalled in order to make a bid for the Canadian speedster this summer. His contract expires in 2025.
The execution of their strategy seems to be going just as planned. It was very close to being the case that Bayern would sign Davies to a new contract, but his future is now uncertain once again.
At the present, the discussions with Alphonso Davies are not very far along in their progression. Once upon a time, I said that at the beginning of the previous summer window, there was an arrangement in place for a yearly payment of twelve million euros; but, the individual who was responsible for it, Hasan Salihamidzic, was terminated. As a result of the new sports director, Christoph Freund, there is now a window of opportunity, and the player’s camp is taking use of this opportunity to get more time,” Christian Falk said in an interview with Caught Offside.
Vinicius Junior assisted the recruiting department during the previous season by having a conversation with Jude Bellingham about a potential transfer. It would seem that David Alaba is now playing the similar function for Davies.
There is no doubt that David Alaba and Davies are close friends, and it is only natural that the former would be praising the greatness of Real Madrid. Keep in mind that Madrid is also capable of paying a substantial income! At this point in time, I believe that Real Madrid has a significant opportunity. Additionally, Davies is not doing as well as he should at Bayern Munich, and as a result, they are not willing to spend an outrageous amount of money for him since they are not confidence in his current levels of performance.
It is possible that Davies may call it quits this summer; however, he has not yet signed any contracts with any of the parties involved, so we will have to wait.
Based on the information provided by Falk, it has been stated that Real Madrid Head Scout Juni Calafat has requested that Davies refrain from signing a new contract with Bayern in order to make their transfer easier. Falk’s information suggests that Davies is following this advise, regardless of whether or not it is due to Calafat. In order for Davies to be able to fit into Bayern’s compensation structure, he will have to take a considerably lesser offer than Bayern’s, but it looks that he is open to moving to another destination.
