David Alaba remains one of Real Madrid’s key defensive components. He has been a regular fixture in the starting eleven ever since joining the club in 2021.
The Austrian has featured in over 100 competitive matches for Real Madrid, playing a key role in the club’s success over the past two years.
However, even though Alaba has a contract at Real Madrid until 2026, the defender has become a subject of interest for a Saudi Arabian club.
Alaba receives an offer from Al-Ittihad
According to Rodra P (h/t Madrid Zone), David Alaba has become a subject of interest for Saudi Arabian giants Al Ittihad.
Al Ittihad were the same club that signed Karim Benzema in the summer. They are now interested in acquiring the services of Alaba.
The Saud Arabian giants even have a bumper €20 million offer for the Austrian international, as they look to shore up their defensive line.
David Alaba keen on Real Madrid stay
The report, though, suggests that David Alaba has no desire to leave Real Madrid, despite having an offer from Al Ittihad.
This comes in the midst of worries in the Real Madrid camp over Alaba’s recent performances. The defender has made a series of mistakes in recent games, which has cost Real Madrid badly.
This is a worrying sign for Real Madrid, especially given that Alaba is one of the team’s most important defenders, especially in the absence of Eder Militao.
Nevertheless, the Spanish giants would prefer to keep hold of Alaba amid interest from Al Ittihad. The Austrian, after all, is a bonafide leader while his experience and versatility could be vital as Real Madrid look to end the campaign with silverware.
