Real Madrid are unlikely to make any more signings this summer, which has caused attention to 2025. There could be several big name arrivals at the Santiago Bernabeu before the start of the 2025-26 season, and one area that will need to be addressed is right-back.
Dani Carvajal (32) and Lucas Vazquez (33) are not getting any younger, and they will need to replaced. However, there is no obvious long-term successor for either player currently at the club, so a signing or two will need to be made.
Real Madrid have already spoken with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s agent, as they consider him to be a strong candidate to be their long-term starter at Real Madrid. However, that move would only happen if he doesn’t sign a new contract at Liverpool.
Another player that Real Madrid appear to have their eye on in the Premier League is Diogo Dalot. According to GiveMeSport, a move for the Manchester United defender is being considered for next summer.
Dalot is off the back of an impressive season at Old Trafford. He would be 26 in 2025, so he’s not the youngest option, but he could still be more than enough for Real Madrid for many years to come, if they do decide to go for him.
