Ivan Toney, a striker for Brentford, said in a joke that he would be thrilled to make a transfer to Real Madrid over the summer.
It was reported by Fabrizio Romano that the striker said, “If Brentford were to sell me… they make their money, I move to Real Madrid and it’s all good.”
In spite of the fact that Toney, who is 28 years old, is under contract with Brentford until 2025, his manager, Thomas Frank, has already confirmed that the English club will make a profit off of him this summer.
Several days after the forward had returned to play after completing an eight-month suspension for 232 violations of the Football Association’s regulations regarding betting on football, this event took place.
Sky Sports said that Frank was cited as stating, “It is relatively obvious that Ivan Toney will probably be sold this summer.” That statement was made by Frank.
