During the time that Real Madrid is getting ready to go for Saudi Arabia to compete in the Spanish Super Cup, manager Carlo Ancelotti has made public the list of twenty-four players that he will be bringing along with him.
Following his participation in group training earlier today, Ferland Mendy has been added to the list, which is the most significant piece of news from this morning.
However, it seems probable that the Frenchman will be ready for the Super Cup assignment this week, despite the fact that he has been struggling with injuries once again.
It is still the case that David Alaba, Eder Militao, Lucas Vazquez, and Thibaut Courtois are the most famous players who are not present. A slight injury sustained during the cup match prevented Eduardo Camavinga from participating in the match against Arandina; nonetheless, he is still a member of the team.
In the meanwhile, Ancelotti has decided to keep young players like Vinicius Tobias, Alvaro Carrillo, Nico Paz, and Mario Martin in the team. All of these players were present for the Copa del Rey match against Arandina. Alvaro Rodriguez, on the other hand, is not included.
Last year, Los Blancos were defeated by Barcelona in the finals of the Super Cup. This time around, they will be anxious to add the trophy to their collection since they were unsuccessful in past years.
However, before that happens, they will face a formidable opponent in the semi-finals, which will be Atletico Madrid. Atletico Madrid has previously defeated Ancelotti and his team in a convincing manner this season.
