Federico Valverde, Real Madrid’s crucial midfielder, has officially signed a new deal with the club until the summer of 2029.
“Real Madrid C. F. and Fede Valverde have agreed a contract extension for the player, who remains tied to the club until 30 June 2029,” according to a statement released by the club.
Valverde, who joined Real Madrid when he was 18 years old, has developed into one of the top midfielders in La Liga and Europe.
The Uruguayan international has performed well in recent seasons, prospering in a variety of situations under boss Carlo Ancelotti.
Valverde signed a long-term contract extension with Real Madrid until 2027 in August 2021.
With Premier League teams showing an increasing interest in him, Los Merengues have moved to lock him down to a lengthier deal until the summer of 2029.

The 25-year-old’s contract extension comes days after Real Madrid announced new deals for Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo Goes, and Eduardo Camavinga.
Eder Militao is also expected to pen a new contract to round off the series of renewals at the Spanish capital club.
