It is no secret that Real Madrid are very much interested in signing Alphonso Davies next summer with his contract at Bayern Munich expiring at the end of the season.
In fact, reports on Thursday claimed that the 24-year-old Canadian international had already agreed to join the Merengues in 2025.
Earlier today, MARCA also made the same claim, suggesting that the left-back had rejected advances from Barcelona and Manchester United in favour of joining Real Madrid.
Davies’ agent refutes reports of agreement
However, Davies’ agent Nedal Huoseh has come out and dismissed the rumours of an agreement with Real Madrid, stating that nothing has been agreed with any team.
“Done deal with Real Madrid? This is not true,” said Huoseh, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
“Though the player has many options, we have not agreed terms with any club.”
The Canadian international’s representative even added that there is a possibility that the left-back could still renew with Bayern Munich.
“New deal at FC Bayern could also be an option. Any reports suggesting otherwise are incorrect,” he shared.
Davies will enter the final six months of his contract at Bayern Munich in January from which point he can negotiate with the club of his choice and finalise a pre-contract agreement for a free transfer in the summer.
Earlier reports said that the 24-year-old had everything in place to finalise the deal with Real Madrid in January but his agent’s comments suggest otherwise.
However, it might be a case of Davies’ agent downplaying the rumours so as to ensure there is no tension at Bayern Munich as there is still a long way left in the ongoing season.
