In the midst of all the rumors, the president of La Liga, Javier Tebas, has recently commented on the situation, suggesting that Mbappe will almost certainly sign with La Liga at some point in the not-too-distant future.
“No, I’m not convinced, but there is no doubt that this is his destined path.” Tebas stated in a recent interview (via SPORT) that he believes the player will play in La Liga either 70 or 80 percent of the upcoming season.
Real Madrid will have their work cut out for them if they want to sign the French player next summer, but the comments made by the president of La Liga are another indicator of how seriously Real Madrid could pursue the player.
A guaranteed arrival the following summer?
At the conclusion of the current campaign, Mbappe’s contract with PSG will come to an end. The player has not given any indication that he plans to lengthen his stay at Parc des Princes, despite the fact that the contract includes an option to extend it for an additional year.
As a result, Real Madrid is now in a very strong position to sign Mbappe during the summer of 2019. Having said that, the undertaking will not be simple in any way.
