Mariano Diaz was one of the many players that left Santiago Bernabeu during the summer transfer window. A big number of players from Real Madrid left the club during this time.
Following a disastrous return to Real Madrid, the striker took advantage of a free transfer to join with Sevilla. Sevilla is located in Spain. Given that the player had not been a particularly big contributor to the team over the course of the preceding four years, his departure did not come as a surprise to anybody.
Mariano Diaz recently participated in an interaction with the media, during which he covered a range of issues, including, among others, his departure from Real Madrid.
Mariano Diaz offered his thoughts of returning to Real Madrid and playing for the club.
Mariano Diaz made his way back to Real Madrid in the summer of 2018, which coincided with Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit from the club at the same time. Both events took place simultaneously.
After a great run with Olympique Lyon, during which he scored 21 goals in less than 50 competitive games, Diaz was about to begin a new chapter in his career with a new club. Since he had left his previous position with Olympique Lyon, this was his first employment.
In spite of the fact that he did not have a huge amount of influence during his time back at Bernabeu, the attacker does not have any regrets about the decision he made to go back there.
“At the moment, it was up to me to make that decision, and it didn’t make any difference to me that Cristiano had already left the squad or who else was playing for it. During an interview with the newspaper Diario de Sevilla, he said, “That decision was made to go back there and I’m certainly not having any regrets.”
Despite this, Diaz is pleased with how his life is going thus far in Sevilla at the moment.”I’m very happy now to be able to play for Sevilla, which has always been my objective,” he stated. “This has been my goal.” “At the end of the day, that was the objective I wanted to achieve.”
Diaz is now on an upward trajectory of learning at Real Madrid.
Diaz continued by saying that in order to explain his lack of playing time at Real Madrid, “Yes, there was a little bit of everything.”The intense level of competition, the paucity of available possibilities, and the absence of any sense of… An injury occurred at a critical juncture in the event…”
In spite of the difficulties he had at the Bernabeu, Mariano Diaz was questioned about the steep learning curve he faced in the capital of Spain.
“I’ve learned from all of my teammates, especially from Benzema, but also from others… In practice, as well as in the games I’ve participated in… Things, motions, etc., are always being taught to you. From each and every one of you,” he said.
However, for the time being, Diaz’s attention is primarily concentrated on the task at hand at Sevilla. Even though he has not played a single game for the Nervionenses, it would be intriguing to see whether he is able to resurrect his career at Sanchez Pizjuan.
