One of the more unexpected results of the La Liga season has been Girona’s current position at the top of the rankings. They are now one point ahead of Real Madrid, who also happen to have a game in hand that they are currently playing.
The Brazilian winger Savinho, who is now on loan at the club from Troyes FC, has been one of the most impressive players for Michel’s team this season. Savinho is currently playing for the club.
After signing with the Catalan team, the 19-year-old has been doing very well, amassing a total of six goals and five assists across all competitions in a total of 23 games played so far.
Manchester City is currently in first place.
There are a lot of clubs in Spain and other countries that have taken notice of Savinho as a result of his achievements. It was reported that Real Madrid was keeping an eye on the Brazilian, but it seems that the winger’s future does not lay in Spain.
In point of fact, the Daily Star in England reports that Manchester City is now in the lead over Real Madrid in the competition to get Savinho from Troyes.
The fact that the City Football Group, which also owns Manchester City, also owns Troyes and Girona provides Manchester City a significant advantage in the competition for Savinho. Manchester City had previously won both the Premier League and the European Championship.
According to the report, Manchester City could negotiate a deal with the 19-year-old player for as low as ten million pounds. This would be one-third of the amount that any other team from Europe would have to spend in order to get the winger.
In addition, the source claims that Real Madrid had high hopes of acquiring Savinho, who would be a candidate to follow in the footsteps of Vinicius Jr., a fellow countryman and a superstar for Los Blancos.
However, considering the fact that the young Brazilian player had previously voiced his desire to play alongside Rodrygo Goes of Real Madrid, it seems that Manchester City is the most likely destination for him.
