Despite uncertainties surrounding his participation in tomorrow’s UEFA Champions League match between Real Madrid and SC Braga, midfield dynamo Jude Bellingham is exercising with the rest of the squad, according to The Athletic’s Mario Cortegana.
Bellingham suffered a shoulder injury in the Merengues’ previous game against Rayo Vallecano following a heavy tumble to the ground early in the game.
On Monday, it was reported that the 20-year-old Real Madrid star had a dislocated shoulder and would be out of tomorrow’s game against Braga.
It was also speculated that Bellingham would miss the game against the Portuguese club but would start the match against Valencia in La Liga later this week.
However, Bellingham is exercising with the rest of the squad today, which might be a significant lift for Carlo Ancelotti and co.
It bodes well for Real Madrid, given that the summer acquisition has been their best player by a long shot this season.
Bellingham is also the Merengues’ leading scorer, and his availability for the game against Braga will be a boon for the squad as it attempts to qualify into the knockout rounds of the Champions League.
Real Madrid are currently without Aurelien Tchouameni, Dani Ceballos, Thibaut Courtois, and Eder Militao due to injury.
What remains to be seen is if Ancelotti chooses to start Bellingham against Braga tomorrow or opts not to take any chances with the important midfielder.
