Real Madrid striker Joselu has slammed former Barcelona defender Gerard Pique for saying that Los Blancos’ previous UEFA Champions League title would be forgotten.
The 33-year-old on-loan striker has answered by claiming that if you don’t remember that final, he is still trying to figure out which one will.
Real Madrid’s most recent UCL victory came in 2022, when Vinicius Jr. scored the game’s lone goal as Madrid defeated Liverpool 1-0 at Stade de France.
“Damn, if you don’t remember that one, I don’t know which one is going to be remembered,” he said, according to COPE.
“Not only because of what happened in the previous matches, but also because of what happened in the final.” I believe it is a title that will not be forgotten. In life, not only for football, but for all that has occurred,” he continued.
When asked why Pique said that, the attacker said, “What do I know, because he is from Barça and would he be envious?”
Joselu’s observations on his term so far
When Vinicius was out with an injury earlier this season, Joselu was assigned the task of scoring goals, and he did not disappoint. The attacker has five goals in 13 La Liga games thus far, and when questioned about his opinions on this season, he stated,
“I can tell you that I am quite delighted with the role I am playing and the contribution I am making. What I want to do is keep contributing and provide answers when the coach needs me on the pitch.
“We’re all aware of the caliber of their group. “I came to help as much as I could, and I believe that when the coach trusted me, I responded quite well by scoring goals and giving the team points,” he stated.

“I am I’m happy with the number of goals, you can always contribute a few more, but I’m left with the fact that the majority of the goals I’ve scored have been for the team to score,” he said.

Regarding Real Madrid’s players and management
