Speaking after the 3-2 win over Barcelona last night, Real Madrid forward Rodrygo confirmed that he will not leave the club in the summer.
With Kylian Mbappe all set to join as a free agent and Endrick also arriving from Palmeiras, there will be greater competition in attack at the Santiago Bernabeu.
As such, there have been speculations that Rodrygo could be the one losing his place in the team and might even be offloaded by Real Madrid.
There have been rumours of interest from the Premier League, with clubs like Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool understood to be admirers of the Brazilian international.
However, Rodrygo has made it clear that he is not thinking about leaving the Spanish capital club and hopes to have a long and successful future with the Merengues.
“I love this club so much. I hope my future stays here always,” Rodrygo told beIN Sport, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
In order to provide some insight on his connection with Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, the Brazilian striker continued by saying, “Ancelotti,” To me, he is very much like a parent.
Rodrygo is still completely dedicated to Real Madrid and is not considering leaving the club, despite the rumors that have been circulating regarding his future and the fact that Mbappe and Endrick are expected to arrive in the near future.
In addition, Rodrygo extended his stay at the Santiago Bernabeu until the summer of 2028 by signing a new deal with Real Madrid in November of the previous year. Therefore, it is quite improbable that there will be any departures throughout the summer.
As a result of the 23-year-old’s performance in 45 games this season, he has scored 17 goals and assisted on eight more for his teammates, establishing himself as an essential component in Ancelotti’s plans.
