Jude Bellingham’s Euro 2024 campaign came to a heartbreaking end as England slumped to a 2-1 defeat against Spain in the final.
Bellingham was one of the better players for England in what was a hard-fought affair at the Olympiastadion. However, the Real Madrid star was not able to get his team over the line, with England conceding a late winner from Mikel Oyarzabal.

Bellingham was visibly disappointed at the result and was seen storming off the pitch and even kicking a drinks cooler in frustration.
Speaking to a press after the defeat, Bellingham expressed his thoughts, calling it a ‘heartbreaking result’.
“We all wanted nothing more than to make history and make people of England proud but we didn’t deliver. Going forward we will analyze it, it’s a young group,” he said (h/t Daily Mail).
Bellingham was indeed one of the more important players for an England side, which was criticised by many for their underwhelming performances
However, the Real Madrid star also looked at the positive. “It’s disappointing because we have to deliver at some point but there are things we can take from this,” he said.
“As a team, we will take the positives and negatives and we have to find a way to get it over the line,” the midfielder added.
While the defeat to Spain was certainly a blow for young Bellingham, the Englishman can hold his head up high, as he is coming on the back of a tremendous campaign that saw him secure the La Liga and the Champions League title.
For now, Bellingham will be looking forward to an extended summer break, before shifting his focus back to Real Madrid ahead of the new season.
