A Real Madrid player, who has only played for a year and a half, has been tipped to return to his former club in the January transfer window.
Playing for Real Madrid is the dream for many players. As the strongest side in the world, Real Madrid are always tipped to win trophies. So, players naturally want a piece of the pie.
However, dreaming of Real Madrid and arriving at Real Madrid are two very different things. After all, given how many players want to represent Los Blancos, the squad is overhauled with talent already.
Unfortunately, players often learn this the hard way. This is certainly the case for Arda Güler, the Turkey international who signed for Real Madrid in 2023 and has struggled for game-time since.
Golden Boy nominee could leave Real Madrid to re-join former club
According to a report from AS, Turkish side Fenerbahçe would like to re-sign Arda Güler on loan for the second half of the season. Interestingly, they are now coached by former Real Madrid manager José Mourinho.
No concrete moves have been made, as it stands. Fenerbahçe are simply monitoring Güler’s situation and they will be in contact with Real Madrid in the January transfer window.
Of course, it is in Fenerbahçe’s best interest to make a blockbuster signing this season. Their league rivals Galatasaray made a monumental signing by bringing in Victor Osimhen, so they must rival that.
Arda Güler is a demanding player. This is exactly the reason why his career is at this point, due to his determination to succeed at a young age. However, to succeed, Güler must play.
Unfortunately, minutes cannot be promised by Real Madrid. As good as Arda Güler is, it is impossible for Carlo Ancelotti to guarantee minutes to any young attacker. After all, Vinícius Júnior and Kylian Mbappe must take priority in the attack.
That said, Güler remains a player with an exceptional ceiling. He has proven already that the sky is his limit, so Real Madrid must keep him happy. If this includes a loan move, it will only benefit Real Madrid in the long-run.
Nobody can question Güler’s commitment to Real Madrid. The Turkish wonder-kid had proposals to join Barcelona, but chose Real Madrid instead. It was the right decision, which shows he clearly has his head screwed on at a young age.
Without a doubt, Güler would smash it on loan in his home country.
