Denis Cheryshev, who was a product of Real Madrid’s development program, made his debut with the reserves in 2009 and then with the main squad in 2012. After that, he played on loan for Valencia, Sevilla, and Villarreal before committing to become a permanent member of the latter club in June of 2019.
Now, speaking before of the Merengues’ match against Villarreal this coming Sunday, the Russian left-winger discussed the impending match, his time spent at Real Madrid, and the present status of the squad. He also discussed the next match.
Due to the fact that Cheryshev has worked for both Spanish teams, he will be in a tough position when it comes to choose which side to support. He was asked which team he would support during the match between Real Madrid and Villarreal, and he responded by saying that he would support either of the teams.
There is a great deal of gratitude that I have for both teams. It is quite evident to me that I want Real Madrid to succeed in winning the championship; yet, if Villarreal is able to win this match, it will be beneficial for them since they are in more need of the points. Also, due to the fact that Marcelino came back to the club.”
When Cheryshev began playing football, he had the honor of kicking the ball alongside some of the most legendary figures in the history of the sport. As a result, he was questioned about whether or not the fact that he was a colleague of Cristiano, Benzema, Kaka, or Xabi Alonso left a unique impression on him.
“Before I became a professional, when I went out on the field as a member of the youth team, I admired Guti for his ability to change games when he sat on the bench. I learned a lot from him.” When I finally did meet him, it was during some training with Pellegrini, and I was blown away by his excellence.
“At a later time, I discovered Ozil, who was comparable to him due to the extraordinary talent that he had. “I liked Benzema because despite his great talent, he was not at all selfish,” he said. “It is obvious that Cristiano has an impact on the game.”
Kylian Mbappe, who is now garnering a lot of attention from both fans and media, was mentioned in the conversation. Considering that Los Blancos already has two great left-wingers, Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo, the 32-year-old was questioned about whether or not the team needs his services.
If Mbappe is going to replace Joselu, with whom I coincided for two years at Castilla, it is better not to do it (laughs). It is tough to say no to Mbappe, but if he is going to replace Joselu, it is best not to happen. He conveyed his happiness by saying, “I have a lot of affection for him, and I want him to keep scoring goals.”
In order to shed some light on the two Brazilian wingers, Cheryshev recognized Vinicius and Rodrygo as players who are two steps ahead of their colleagues.
“I am excited about Rodrygo, he is exceptional, and I also love Vinicius,” he remarked in response to the question of who he would select to be the best player in the world. They are both one step ahead of the rest of the pack, and it seems that they are also working on other things.
Last but not least, Cheryshev claimed that Bellingham has the potential to easily become the league’s leading scorer if they continue to score at this pace. He bestowed his roses onto the Golden Boy winner and the one who is unable to stop eating in the final.
He may be compared to a phenomena. As soon as they come, he begins to beat each and every one of them. His teammates clearly have faith in him, which in turn instills him with a greater sense of self-assurance. He plays with complete excitement. He has the potential to become the league’s leading scorer if he maintains his current level of performance. He is an excellent attacker. “Of course.”
