In a recent interview, Bernd Schuster, who had previously played for Real Madrid and managed the club, outlined the difficulties that the team would encounter in their midfield.
His emphasis was placed on the fact that the squad is likely to face huge challenges as a result of the loss of Toni Kroos. Schuster claims that there is only one person who could fully replace Kroos, but that guy will not be joining Real Madrid. Kroos cannot be replaced by any other player.
A special note was made by Schuster on the alterations that are taking place inside the team of the European and League champions. Despite the fact that he recognized the new additions, he brought attention to the tremendous void that Kroos, a renowned player for the club in previous years, had left behind.
“Mbappe is on his way, but you will be losing Kroos.” As said by the previous manager, who was reported by MARC, “people forget that they are going to be a problem for Madrid.”
The Mbappe situation is a really encouraging point to bring up. Together with Vinicius and Rodrygo, they are a highly refined group of players.
But I have serious reservations about the midfield position. The organization that Kroos used was highly significant. a significant amount of football is now being lost there for this squad,” he said.
Who can replace Kroos?
It was brought to his attention that playing in the middle of the field demands a certain set of talents, such as being able to read the game well, giving up a few balls, and efficiently controlling the ball.
It is my opinion that they made a mistake by placing him in that position. A right-back is what he is. Never in my life have I seen a full-back transitioning into the role of an organizer.
“It seems as if anybody can play in that position, but in reality, it is not like that at all. A couple of years have passed since he came to the realization that it is not his thing,” Schuster remarked.
Last but not least, Schuster expressed his opinions about Carlo Ancelotti. His description of Ancelotti was that he was a different sort of coach, one who had a great deal of expertise.
There is a different kind of coach in him. Because of his extensive experience, the fact that he has always been able to coach strong teams, and the fact that he understood the house better than anyone else, he earned a lot of victories.
