With a week and a half remaining in the summer transfer window, Real Madrid do not need to focus on incomings. Instead, Carlo Ancelotti should use the opportunity to explore avenues away from the club for fringe players who struggle for game-time. Real Madrid do not have an overly-inflated squad but with the players available to them, the starting eleven essentially picks itself.
Therefore, some of the younger players in the squad could certainly benefit from exploring moves away, to guarantee game-time for their development. In an ideal world, they would achieve this at Real Madrid but due to the nature and needs of the squad, Carlo Ancelotti understandably cannot guarantee this for every player, particularly those with less experience.
Fabrizio Romano confirms Real Madrid star could join Raphael Varane
According to an update from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on X (formerly Twitter), Real Madrid youngster Nico Páz is being explored by Serie A side Como. Como have been making some substantial moves this summer, most notably bringing in former Barcelona player Cesc Fabregas and their biggest signing, Real Madrid legend Raphael Varane.
Nico Páz broke into the Real Madrid first-team in 2023, after coming through their youth academy. He has already made 3 Liga appearances in the first-team and looks set for a promising future. However, given that he competes for a place in the starting eleven with the likes of Jude Bellingham and Arda Guler, it is incredibly unlikely that he will make many more appearances this season.
So, it is best for Real Madrid to sell him. However, they will use their age-old tactic of strengthening their options for the future, by including a buy-back clause. This means they will have the first opportunity to sign Páz in the very realistic likelihood that he becomes a star in Italy. It’s methods like this which have made Real Madrid a force to be reckoned with in the transfer market.
