Endrick, who is just 17 years old, is shattering records for pleasure. The Brazilian teen star is expected to join Real Madrid next season, but he’s doing plenty to cement his place in Palmeiras’ history before the big transfer.
The teenager made his debut for the Brazilian National Team earlier today against Colombia, and he rewrote yet another headline. Many believe that the youngster is destined to go for the stars.
Earlier this week, the aspiring Real Madrid player talked to the Daily Mail on a variety of issues, including his experience at Palmeiras, love for Real Madrid, and desire to play for the Brazilian National Team. He started by discussing his first call-up to the Selecao, saying:
“It has always been a dream of mine to wear the Brazil jersey.” Things have moved swiftly in my life, and this is yet another desire realized. I can only thank my family, agents, and Palmeiras for their unwavering faith in me.”
Endrick then went on to list Real Madrid as his ideal club, as well as the player he idolized as a boy.
“I’ve always wanted to play for Real Madrid since I was a kid.” Cristiano Ronaldo is one of my greatest inspirations. So it gives me tremendous joy to know that I will be wearing the same jersey that he did.”
Despite the hoopla around his name, the child has not had an easy ride. He had a hard start to 2023, with little playing time and opportunity to excel.
“I never hung my head because I wasn’t playing. It was an era of professional development. “Because Abel Ferreira (Palmeiras’ boss) always spoke to me, I felt more at ease, respected his decision, and continued working.”
“Now is my chance to show what I can do on the pitch, and I am extremely grateful for everything that is happening.” “This is a time to enjoy and be happy,” he continued.
